I am working on crumb blocks for a quilt, fabric postcards for a few swaps and I want to start making the purse I bought a pattern for.
ReplyDeleteWell! This month is a month of finishing and starting quite a few projects since April will be here before we know it and then starts gardening! March is usually my last true month of dedicated quilting! So my projects...start and try to complete most of the quilt for my sisters wedding gift which is coming up the end of June, finish a scrub top, finish the blocks and putting together the quilt for block-a-palooza, a baby quilt for a baby shower, and getting the finishing touches done, aka binding, for a quilt show coming up the beginning of April. I also have a couple cakes, birthday and wedding cake, that I have to do for the month of March! So this should be a busy month!

I'm due April 2nd and have the material to hem up a variety of cute receiving blankets, a car seat canopy, and I bought a wingtip needle so I can try my hand at a crocheted edge on a burp cloth. We'll see what I get done before the baby comes and what I "save" for my mom to help with when she comes for a visit.

I just finished a stuffed block pattern from a quilting magazine. It was a gift for a girlfriend's son who just turned one. I appliqued his nickname on it, Boo Boo, and a really cute monkey face. I wasn't sure if he would like it, but he loves it! He particularly loves to sit on it!

For a special friend with a birthday, she's already put her order in for All My Bags Pretty Petals handbag that I'll be making out of Riley Blake's Quite Contrary line. A cute neighbor is expecting a baby boy and I'm creating a baby quilt using the Whimsy colorway of turqoise, green, brown & white. For my quilt group we're making a baby quilt for one of the other members using Cat in the Hat fabric. I have 2 charity blankets I need to knit my section on (these are traveling blankets so I will be doing a 4" section on each). I'm sure a few more projects will come up, they always do!

I am finishing up a kitchen cabinet towel that I'm knitting. I just have to put on the button, and the buttonhole looks a little small for the button I bought especially for this towel. It's a birthday gift for my sister at the end of this month. So I may have to go out and buy a smaller button.
