Modern Circle Pillow tutorial

modern circle pillow
1 charm pack
1/2 yard background (white)
1 yard solid (grey)
wonder under
18 inch pillow form
sizzix die cut circles (3 sizes)
--cut wonder under into squares and iron onto the back of each charm square.
--Using three different size circle sizzix die cut 9 of each size (3 big, 3 medium, 3 small)
--Cut your background fabric into  9  5 1/2 inch squares.
--Iron and applique 1 of each size circle onto a background square.  I off set each of my  circles, but you can center your circles if you like.

--Cut the solid fabric as follows
1 18x18 inch square
6  2x5 1/2 inch strips
2  2x18 inch strips
--make your rows by sewing the 5 1/2 inch strips in between squares.  You should end up with 3 rows with 3 squares each
--Now join your rows together with the 18 inch strips.
****Your pillow front is complete
--Place your front and back piece (solid 18x18) right sides together.
--Sew the sides and the top but leave the bottom open.
--Turn right side out.
--Slide in your pillow form and hand stitch the bottom closed.
(if you are daring you can install a zipper on the bottom)
You can use the scallop circle die cuts and it would match the trio of circles quilt from a previous tutorial.
