I love to read!! I can curl up with a good book and sit all day and lose myself in whatever it is I am reading. House, laundry whatever...., it can wait. I will read anything, well, almost anything. I can't read self help books. I am already confused enough so I don't need someone physco-analyzing me. I admit it I am cuckoo. This book is by Tatiana De Rosnay and is an awesome read. I had today off and had a big to do list, I accomplished none of it. I sat here and read my book! If you are looking for a good Summer read, I strongly suggest trying this. What are you reading this Summer?

I took "Sarah's Key" with me as a last minute thought when we went to Richmond for my daughter's graduation from law school. As soon as we walked in to the hotel room I pounced on it and couldn't put it down. I saw a copy of it at Target and apparantly it is being made into a movie.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree.... excellent read!!
I agree that it is a wonderful book. I heard that they are making the movies with Kristen Scott Thomas as the lead. Should be good.
ReplyDeleteAs recommended by SewCalGal, I'm reading The Dressmaker of Khair Khana. An incredible book. I'm putting Sarah's Key on my next up list.
ReplyDeleteJust finished up Saving CeeCee Honeycutt....going to get Sarah's Key straightaway!~
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorites that I have read recently are The Help ( I hope they can make the movie half as good as the book) and Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, both great books. I have a few other's I'm reading but will for sure put Sarah's Key on my list.
ReplyDeleteI also read this book this summer- powerful story - reminiscent of Sophie's Choice which is quite heart wrenching to read.
ReplyDeleteI also read " The Postmistress" which happened during the beginning of the second World War.
So many good stories to read- not enough time.

Anna
