Day 3 giveaway!



Hmmmm!  what shall we do for today?  How about the Farmers Wife quilt book.  We have been working on these blocks at the shop and kind of put it off till after the Holidays.  They are fun and there are loads of groups doing it on the internet.  First off you must be a follower of our blog, you can click at the side of our page and join.  Second, tell me if you have ever done a sampler style quilt.

    I'm a follower and I have done a few sampler style quilts but none have had as small of blocks as the Farmer's Wife.

    Oh I am #1..not sure that is good.lol But here I am....I have done a sampler quilt...the Summer Sampler QAL this past summer. I am a follower and would love to own that book...Merry Christmas.

    I've been eyeing this book for quite a while. My first beginner quilt class was a sampler quilt, I really need to try another one now.

    I have been wanting to try The Farmer's Wife blocks but haven't had a chance to yet. I did take a class once that was a little similar, but oh, this would be fun!

    Hi I am one of your followers. Yes, my first quilt was a Sampler quilt. I saw a sign for a class, and went along to learn how to make one. It was done entirely by hand using with cardboard templates, hand peiced and quilted. I still have it 20 years later. I have since made another sampler as well as other quilts. That class was the beginning of a love of quilting for me. :)

    I am a follower. I have done a couple of baby quilts that were samplers but no big ones.

    My accross the street neighbor is doing the "Farmer's Wife" with her guild as a guild challenge and I have been thinking about it. I have loved seeing the blog entries of the blocks from my bloggy friends that are doing it.

    I am a follower! My first quilt was a sampler (yes, all by hand, even the templates)(no, I didn't finish it yet), so I like the idea of a sampler that's made by machine! I've seen some REALLY cute blocks from this quilt-along online!

    I'm a follower. I went through the Bloggers' Block a palooza QAL though haven't completed the quilting. It's waiting for me to finish the handquilting after I recover from a back injury. I've wanted to do the Farmer's Wife quilt after hearing the author interviewed by NancyZ. Thanks for the chance.

    I've been dying to get this book. I've not done an official sampler quilt, but I'd love to. I'm intrigued by these designs, and really want to do am underground railroad sampler one too.

    Yes, my first quilt was a sampler. I took an adult ed class and that is the best way to show as many techniques as possible. I gave it to my youngest son...it has since had it's binding ripped off, so need to repair it...boys are not gentle on their blankets! That was over 20 yrs ago....

    I am trying to do a quilt in rememberance of my father in law who just passed about a week ago. Is there anyone out there that can give suggestions of getting more motivated to do this? I was going to have like 3 light colors and then on random squares sew the material with the nfl teams he liked.... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
