Happy Camper

American Jane's Happy Camper from Moda arrived today and its so fun and retro! It really is hard to choose one color way green, red, blue, golden yellow, and brown make up this fun vintage line! Oh the possibilities are endless! We have the pre-cuts available also. We are getting so many new lines in you need to check back everyday just to see what new came in!!!

Is that Camille from Thimble Blossoms?

We just had our Fall Open House at the shop and we are having a trunk show of "Thimble Blossoms" I was talking to Camille and told her we wished she could be here, (but the girl is busy) so we decided to improvise and make our own Camille. (I really think after she heard how weird my family is I scared her) I wished I could label the pictures but my computer skills won't let me. (Camille, I hope you are okay with our model)
So the pictures are as follows:

We loved having Camille at the shop, tee hee! but we would really love her in person! Her and her mom's (Cotton Way) line Simple Abundance arrived TODAY Yahoo!

Puppy Love!

Okay, I admit it I still have that secret crush on my favorite Osmond "Donny" I literally drove my 2 sisters nuts growing up! My little sister would go on a rampage ( I think she had temper issues) and rip all my Donny stuff shreds! And, both of my kids know all the words to "Puppy Love" and my poor hubby has had to live with this! I have drug him to Donny concerts forever, and have yelled and screamed while he stood patiently by! I try and sneek his CD's in to the player at the shop but my girls have threatened me! So my point is my friends is he is on Dancing with the Stars! I am so excited!!! You can vote for him at 1-800-868-3405!!

Okay, so we were a little "Starstruck this weekend. Heather Bailey did a meet and greet at the shop and we had a great turnout. It was so much fun! I still can't believe she was here.

She showed her sketchbook, and a new pattern that we will have in the shop soon! She brought her Trash Ties that are available on her website. If you haven't seen these they are pretty amazing. We have patterns and kits of her pincushion pear, apple and tomato available at the shop!

A New Dress!

Okay, I must admit I never thought I would be sewing clothing, the serger has kind of created a monster. I just made this dress by Portabella Pixie called Claire. The directions are fantastic, so easy to follow and great diagrams! Lots of new in the shop, it has been kind of overwhelming!! I will post on that tomorrow! We have got some great things in store! So check back often!

Heather Bailey and Material Girls!!!!

Don't put your reading glasses on~ its true! Heather Bailey is coming to Material Girls!!!! Yahooey! We are giddy with excitement!! Heather is coming to South Jordan, she is a keynote speaker at a seminar for women entrepreneurs "Start-up Princess" being held here in South Jordan!! She will be here Saturday Sept. 12th from 1-3ish to do a meet and greet, so load up the car and bring your friends and (favorite pen) and come meet Heather!!!!!
