I have been waiting for this line because I plan on using some of it in my bedroom makeover, which I should have it done but, I am behind because the brochontis I caught was deadly. Of couse you can find the entire line at the shop. Here are a few pictures of it! I love it!!

Lily pad pin cushion tutorial
This pin cushion did not start out as a "lily pad" but the flower reminded me of a water lily and my frog stuffer looked so at home next to it. This tutorial uses two of the the previous tutorials.
Lily Pad Pin Cushion
2 - 5x5 squares lined with a light weight interfacing
material for 2 ruffled flowers.
Follow the instructions for last weeks tutorial on the ruffled flower. I sewed the two toegether with my gathering stitch. For this flower I used one out of regular fabric and one out of felt. I did not fold the felt in half. I also cut the felt out using the new sizzix die for gathered flowers. Attach a small piece of felt to the bottom to finish off the gathered edge.
Sew your two 5x5 pieces wrong sides together. leave a small opening for turning.
Turn and stuff/fill as desired. There is a tutorial on this posted about a month ago.
Once stuffed sew up opening.
Attach flower to the top. I hot glued it but you can stitch it on if you want.
Find a cute frog to make the lily pad a home.

Gathered Flower tutorial
Fabric Flowers are all the rage right now. This tutorial is for the gathered/ruffle flower.
-2 1/2 inch strip (length can vary but I like 22 inches
-Iron in half length wise
-sew a gathering stitch along one long edge (You have 2 options with this. Sew along the raw edge for a finished flower, or sew along the folded edge for a ragged look.)
-Pull and gather,
-Put a dab of hot glue at one end and fold over. This gives you a finished edge in the center.
-Start rolling with that end and shape as you roll and go. (if you did the ragged flower rough the edge with a tooth brush)
-Glue a small circle of felt to the back to hold and give it more stability
You can use this same method with ribbon or lace, just dont fold in half.

Who said you can't paint oak?
When my hubby and I first got married. He bought me a beautiful oak bedroom set. Well over the years I have fallen out of love with the oak (20 plus years) and wanted a change. So, here it is started, my pictures aren't the best but I will post better ones later. I am trying to write a how to post on this and my bathroom makeover but so far they are extremley wordy. I plan on finishing my bed next week. It seems my body decided to catch bronchitis which kicked my butt! You can kind of see my nightstand in one picture that I finished before I got sick
Hope you enjoy it

One of my favorite shops is called "Hip & Humble" (the name alone makes you want to go in.) They have a little of everything, and everything is so cute! When we were in I saw this cute owl cookie jar. I have dreamed about him since I saw him. I think I need him. Isn't he cute? Ever see something and wished you would have bought it? I think I know where I'll be making a trip to, I'll keep you posted!

Diaper changing pad/pouch tutorial
Diaper changing pad/pouch tutorial
1/2 yard fabric
1 hand towel
12 inches of velcro
Cut the finished edges off the towel. This makes it thinner so when you turn it it isnt so bulky.
Measure the towel and cut your fabric to the same size.
PIN right sides together. You will want to pin a lot because the towel is very stretchy.
Sew or Serge the edges. Make sure to leave a hole for turning.
Turn right side out and sew up your hole
With the towel side up fold the pad into equal thirds and mark the folds. My marks are really dark so you can see them in the pictures.
Cut 2 strips of velcro 5".
Attach to the sides on the pad. One half should be at the bottom and the other half should be at the top of the middle section. I put the soft half of the velcro in the middle this way my little one doesnt get scratched.
With the 2" velcro piece attach half to the middle on the top.
Fold over and mark where the ohter half of the velcro should go.
Sew velcro in place.
Embellish if desired.
I use my folded up pad as a pouch to carry my wipes and diapers. This way ther are at the ready when I need them.
