Scallop pin cushion tutorial

Scallop pin cushion Tutorial


large scallop circle sizzix die cut
5  5x5 fabric pieces (charm squares)
2 buttons
2 5x5 piece of interfacing (stacy or any mid weight)


Take 4 of your 5 x5 sqaures and cut them into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch squares

Sew one of each color 2 1/2 inch pieces together into a square

Apply interfacing onto the pieces square and the left over 5x5 piece.

Run both squares through your sizzix with the scallop die cut

Sew your two circles Wrong Side Together leaving a hole for and stuffing

Stuff/fill as desired

hand stitch hole closed
sew buttons onto center of top and bottom and pull tight (this will tuft it for you)

is the sizzex for paper and fabric? or just fabric? how expensive is it? i have been seeing some cute stuff made with them

The Sizzix big shot is for paper or fabric. The store does have them, along with the dies. Call the store for pricing.

I LOVE this! Can I ask what you used as filling? Most every other tutorial I've seen just uses polyfil and it looks like you are using a grain of some sort?
