Growth chart

1 charm square pack

½ yd solid fabric

3/4 yd backing fabric

Ribbon to hang

Choose 18 charms and cut them in half. You should have 36 2 ½ x 5 inch strips.

Sew the strips together. I sewed them in sets of 2 and then slowly made my long chain.

Your complete piece should me roughly 72 inches.

Press and set aside

With the solid fabric cut 2 5 x 36 pieces. Sew one short end together. Make sure this is the same length as your strip piece.

Attach the strips and the solid piece

Out of the backing material Cut two 36 x 9 1/2 inch pieces and sew one short end together. Make sure this is the same length as your front.

Sew the front and back piece right sides together. ***leave a 4 inch opening on one side so you can turn it***

Turn right side out

Edge stitch around entire chart

Add a ribbon hanger to the top if you desire

Add any embellishments you desire. I used the sizzix die cuts and appliqués a name.

As you measure use a fabric pen to write on the solid half. I put date and age of the child.

You can quilt and bind if you want. I left it thin and flexible for easy storage.

How cute is that?! Pretty easy to make too. Hmmm, maybe for my upcoming grandchild?!
