Sewing room closet
kitchen table
My sewing room closet
Okay, I admit it,  I AM A MESSY SEWER!!!   I have been sewing, designing new patterns, and working at the shop A LOT more.   Then throw in being a wife and a mom and I have to say my house is taking a beating!!  Please don't judge me by this post,  I know we all have some little skeleton lurking in our closets, I am just sharing mine to make me more accountable to clean it up in a hurry!  I am sure if my sisters see this they will for sure be on the phone to the Hoarders show (Sue, Bev put the phone down!).   I don't have a day off from the shop this week but I WILL HAVE THIS CLEANED BY SUNDAY!!!   My hat is off to the working mom that do it all, it ain't easy!  However, I have just found a new cleaning lady that will be helping me with the rest of the house so my sewing room doesn't get this way.    Okay, with that being said I have cooked 2 nights in a row, and finished several projects and the laundry is done!!  So, I have to ask......,  does your sewing room or kitchen table ever look like this?  Leave a post I would love to hear!
Keeping it real!!
Nadine

If it doesn't look like that, you aren't sewing.. LOL. I'm working on mine though. I got some clear shoeboxes to store my fat quarters. I folded them all the same so they would look nice and divided the boxes all by color. Now to work on the rest of the room!

Ummm....yeah! I'm a messy sewer. I clean up always before starting a new big projet. By the time I'm done, the place looks like a bomb went off. My sewing room is very small and the rest of my house is a disaster as well. I just can't find a management system for my scraps...that's what gets me.

My sewing room is my living room and (YIKES) it gets messy! I have a cleaning lady too, so I have to clean it up at least every other week! On the other hand my storage area gets messy too...it doesn't get cleaned up as well as the living room!

My sewing room is also the "everything else" room. You know, toys go here, books go here, everything else goes in Mom's sewing room. So I have to battle my messy sewing self and everything else. *sigh*

I did just clean it this week, though, so it looks okay (if you ignore the semi-large pile of "everything else" that I don't want to deal with yet). I'm trying to keep on top of my mess (having different buckets for different projects helps, since I work on many projects at once). So far so good.

My little sewing spaces gets clean when my husband says that it's "creative chaos" and then I know that I should probably reel things back in because it's also his office area :).

My sewing space used to be messy, but now I have shelves and drawers for everything and no kids at home, so I have no excuse!!

I always seem to create a "little disaster" with each quilt I make. Right now it's all stacked in my bedroom waiting to be put away -- I did leave a path to get to the things I needed though! :)

Yeah my cutting table is large but i usually work in a 12 inch space most of the time for all the stuff, books, containers of fabric that are all over it plus the floor. It's gets cleaned about twice a year when it's totally out of control. Then it's back to sewing and gradually makes it way back to cluttered again. If you know what you looking for and can still find it then I guess it's not totally out of control yet
