Laundry Room Makeover

I have been a busy girl lately.  I decided my house needed a facelift, ugh!  (A new house would have been easier)  I am doing a makeover in each room, you saw pictures of my son's bathroom and now for the laundry room.  I painted it this cute Aqua, and made this cute curtain out of Sugar and Spice by Riley Blake.  I love this line!  My son thinks with all the colors I am using we look like hippies, if it were up to my hubby and son all the walls would be white!!  BORING!  So, here it is.  I do plan on painting the cabinets white and changing the knobs but I decided to give you a sneak peek!

Sweet Nothing by the Quilted Fish

Okay, I apologize for the bad picture, I didn't get a chance to grab a picture of our newest line "Sweet Nothing" by the Quilted Fish.  It is red, aqua, pinks & green and oh so yummy!!   I snagged a fat quarter of it all and know I am going to need yardage and lots of it!!  It will make you smile it's a happy, giggly kind of line.  So give us a call or come into the shop and get yours!

Scallop pin cushion Tutorial

large scallop circle sizzix die cut
5  5x5 fabric pieces (charm squares)
2 buttons
2 5x5 piece of interfacing (stacy or any mid weight)


Take 4 of your 5 x5 sqaures and cut them into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch squares

Sew one of each color 2 1/2 inch pieces together into a square

Apply interfacing onto the pieces square and the left over 5x5 piece.

Run both squares through your sizzix with the scallop die cut

Sew your two circles Wrong Side Together leaving a hole for and stuffing

Stuff/fill as desired

hand stitch hole closed
sew buttons onto center of top and bottom and pull tight (this will tuft it for you)

Another Sunkissed project

Okay, never have I wanted to make so many quilts with just one line!  That is, until Sunkissed came out from Moda designed by Sweetwater.  Check out this cute quilt on Moda Bake Shop  I just can't get enough of this line, now I just need to finish the 6 projects I have started in it!  Before my new favorite comes in!  I'll post pictures of my finished projects soon!
