Sweet Ride!!!

Okay, so last year I begged my family for this bike for Mothers Day, I swore that I was going to ride it everyday to and from the shop (which I might add is about a mile or so from my house). Well.....they brought it to the shop and it sat in my classroom for about a month or so and I finally rode it home....I laughed at myself all the way home. I felt kind of silly and probably looked even sillier. So starting June 1 I have vowed to my family once again I will pedal my chubby butt to and from the shop! So, if you see me honk and wave....., I probably won't be able to wave back in case I wreck but I will ring my bell at you! (you have to admit that is one cute bike!) Notice I am giving myself a few days till I take my pedal vow serious.

Pedal faster!!!

Wow! Is that really me?

I am sure some of you have seen this floating around some of the blogs you visit. This is the back page of the Moda catalog. Now I cherish this catalog like it is the Sears Christmas catalog when I was a kid! but right there on the bottom is us, me, Material Girls Quilts! wow! The women listed on here are truly amazing, awesome, talented women! (I stalk each of there blogs just hoping some of their creativity and style will rub off) and to be listed with them on here is such an honor, so ladies thanks for letting me be a part of you!! You inspire me to be a better shop owner and designer!
Thanks so much!
You guys are the best!

Look how cute these girls are! This is Lacey, Chantel, Whitney and My Shelby. They are at the Senior dinner dance that was held a few weeks ago. I can't believe they are getting ready to graduate, it seems like yesterday they were goofy looking 4th graders. Thanks girls for hanging out with Tom and I ~ we love you!

Celebrity Sighting!!!

Okay, so how many of you have been in your favorite shop, eatery, or where ever......, and in walks someone famous (no, Donny Osmond did not find my shop!) but Gina Holladay from Threaded Pear, (Cranberry Quiltworks, and her newest adventure her own shop "Fresh Picked Fabrics") and yes, girls, theres more "Barbara Jones from Quilt Soup", dropped by my shop tonight! I was star struck! Of course Barbara knows I tend to chat and carry on and is sort of used to me, but, I hope I didn't scare Gina. We are great fans of both of you at the shop and want to say "thank you" for stopping by! (I would have taken a picture, but, of course I didn't have my camera, so I missed my kodak moment!)
Thanks again!

PS...if Donny happens to read this my address is 1645 Town Center Drive #4, South Jordan, UT.
