Market News!

For those of you who don't know, it is Fall Market time and I didn't get to attend, boo-hoo! but Christine from All My Bags designs is keeping me in the know! (I gave her my credit card (yikes!!) and she is doing my shopping,) so we will have some new things for you to look at next week, she has called several times today and I am sooo jealous!!! I can't wait for her to come back.

a celebrity visits Material Girls

What a wonderful surprise we had this weekend during shop hop. Camille designer of Thimble Blossom patterns and Moda's line Cotton Blossom (which she created with her mom.) Stopped by Material Girls, she was in town to attend a wedding and came in to the shop, we took pictures and will posting those soon! She truly is a good sport I announced in my very lady like voice that we had a celebrity in the store, (camille i hope i didn't embarass you)
So be sure and watch for more pictures and post a note on her blog to tell her you saw her in the shop! Thanks Camille!

Holiday Shop Hop Time

Oh boy, did this ever come up fast. Its Holiday Shop Hop time again. It starts Wednesday Oct. 15 and goes thru Saturday October 18. We are open at 9 am and we close at 8pm. We have lots planned so be sure and stop by. There will be games, prizes and drawings and all kinds of fun stuff. We will have a huge sale with lots of new things added daily!! So load up the van and grab the girls its a party!!!

Cute doll dresses

For those of you who love Holly Holderman the designer of Lakehouse fabrics. You must go to her blog ( I tried to link it but couldn't get it to link) she has the cutest new line out and we have it in the shop and it is soooo cute! I really have been trying to figure out what quilt to make with it, it just makes you happy! Come in and check it out. It is a great addition to your stash!

Lila Tueller arrives (finally)

It's here!! We have the entire line, and oh my gosh is it cute, after a big long wait we are so excited. (Jeanine has already been here and gotten hers) This is her first line and it is fantastic!, she is a local Utah gal and has done us proud! I am so excited to tell all of you that Barbara Jones from Quiltsoup is now a blogger!! yea! be sure and check out her new blog www.quiltsoup.blogspot.com She designed our quilt for the Quilt Sampler magazine and is truly a great friend. She has awesome designs and is teaching a beginner applique class at the shop, we still have space for all of you who would like to learn the needle-turn method of applique. Thanks Barbara! I am feeling blogged out! My fabrics that were suppossed to be here only came in a partial ship which means to you I didn't get a full order on several things we have been waiting for.
