She was extremely gracious to Shelby and I (thanks, Pat) She has come out with these great bag kits, (Shelby went nuts over them!) Her booth was amazing! This is the Fresh & Fancy May tablerunner of the month! Designed by Bonnie from "Cotton Way" I have had both of these all done except for the bindings so last night I did some marathon TV and bound both of them. I am ahead, yes you heard me right! I already have June's tablerunner done (needs binding) all my blocks are done for the Shop Hop quilt I still have to decide how I am putting that one together. But, I have been thinking whenever the designers come in I am always giving someone an idea for this or that. I have decided that it is time for Material Girls to have their own patterns which will be available soon. I hope to release 6 patterns starting in June! I already have 2 completely done! Yahoo!

I don't even know where to start to tell you about Market!! It was fantastic!! I should have taken more pictures to post but I am a lameo when it comes to this. I haven't even finished unpacking yet, and we did have to ship home a ginormous box full of quilty wonderfulness!! Some of my favorite booths were Quilt Soup, Riley Blake Fabrics, Bonnie and Camille, Art Gallery, oh, and the list goes on!! I did get to meet Pam from Pamkittymorning a famous blogger, and searched and searched for Monica from Happy Zombie (she was sick at market and so I missed her.)Dang it! I kind of felt starstruck with so many of the fantastic designers and bloggers all in one spot. (I will load more pic's off of Tom's camera soon)

We are having a great time!! I love this City!! It has so many neat fun places!! I'll post more later. I have run into lots of great "Quilting Celebrities" Bonnie and Camille, Heather Bailey, Kate Spain, Barbara Jones oh the list goes on. This is better than being in Hollywood!! I am in awe.

Okay, in approximitely 6 hours I will be getting up to catch a flight to Quilt Market!! Yahooey!! Market is in Minneapolis, which for me, translates to a long flight! ugh, I hate to fly, so let me apoligize now to any of you who happen to be on my flight in the morning. I have a prescription from the DR. so I don't completly freak out. So, if I am on your flight and I zonk out please ignore the drool that will be dripping from my mouth or the very lady like snores. A girl has got to do what ever it takes to get her to Market!! I will be posting on here about my adventures, and all the good times I will be having!

30 years ago today......,

this is Spirit Lake Lodge

and after!
WOW! Most of you won't remember this but it was a BIG deal way back when!! 30 years ago tomorrow (May 18)just after 8am with the force of atomic bombs Mt St. Helen's erupted!! I wrecked my very first car in the ash, and it was pretty much the last day as a Senior in High school that we went to school, (they weren't sure of the dangers of the ash so we didn't go) Harry Truman became a celebrity by rufusing to leave the Spirit Lake lodge, which took his life when the mountain blew. I was ready to take life by the tails and show it a thing or two! "Call Me" by Blondie was the number one hit on the radio, "Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back" was a huge hit at the box office. Styles were crazy and "Big Hair" was a must!! Oh my!! Good Times!!
