Half Square Triangles

Half Square Triangles
I tell everyone that comes into the shop that I am "Triangle Impaired"  I just can never get them perfect and it bugs me to pieces.  Right now I am working on a quilt that has 192 half square triangle blocks.  SheEsH!!! What was I thinking?  So, while cuisine around on Pinterest I found this helpful little gem and thought I would share it with you!!  Hopefully, it will help you!

I always add 7/8 of an inch to the finished size I want the square to be. I like what you found on Pinterest though. Good to know.

I guess I stupid or something. When I take 2 4" squares, mark the middle and sew 1/4" from the mark, I still ket a 4" square. So what does this chart tell you?????

The table only helps if you point out the construction method! If you build the HST the more conventional way you'll get unexpected sizes.
